Indian Summer – feedback sought
12 February 2009 in Music, ProductionI spent a couple more hours on the development riff uploaded to the last post and decided to name this track after one of the synth pad voices used in the opening eight bars – “Indian Summer”. Name chosen, it was time to develop that idea so I picked up a copy of the soundtrack to Slumdog Millionaire from iTunes and had a listen while walking the dog.
To be frank, I don’t think much of that has rubbed off (but I really love the M.I.A. track and remix of Paper Planes!). This still has some way to go – in terms of arrangement, voices and the mix – but at the moment I’m pretty happy with the overall direction it’s taking.
If you can spare a moment to comment, I’d love your feedback!

Just adding a comment to this using M6S FF Sidebar. Very impressive.
A few bum notes in that melody (which sounds cheesier by the minute!) Surprised I hadn’t noticed until now. Too fixated with the backing tracks, I guess.
